Through my time at UNC-Chapel Hill, I explored the intersection of creativity, communication, and strategy through classes and campus organizations. From media production and PR to hands-on roles with Coulture Magazine and the FashionMash program, I built a strong foundation in storytelling, design, and collaboration. Here’s a collection of projects that showcase that work.

Writing & Editorial

Personal Essay | I Am an Amy March, and No, I Won’t Apologize

“Amy March is just a woman. A woman who was once a young girl, who wanted to be her own person without living in the shadows of her older sisters. A woman who dreamed of being an artist, of being great, but had the misfortune of not being born rich or a man. A woman who loved so strongly that she screamed to stop a carriage in the middle of France for a man who had yet to return her feelings. A woman who wanted, for once in her life, to be someone’s first choice.”

Profile | Christina Stratton

“By showcasing her femininity rather than hiding her authentic self to appease others, she empowers her followers to do the same. In a world where pink is still stigmatized as too girly, too unprofessional, or too weak, Stratton crushes that stereotype in her hot pink platform stilettos—and walks away in a matching pantsuit.”

Crisis PR Case Study: HBO’s The Idol

Industry Analysis Paper: Warner Bros. Discovery

For my Media and Journalism capstone in Digital Media Economics, I conducted a semester-long analysis of Warner Bros. Discovery, focusing on how the company balances legacy media with the demands of the modern streaming era. This paper offers an in-depth look at its business model, leadership, audience strategy, and financial health.

As a part of the FashionMash program at UNC, I worked with my peers in a semester long effort to organize a luncheon to promote Stella McCartney’s skincare line, STELLA, and introduce prospective students to the program. We transformed every inch of our classroom space, from the stairwell to the bathrooms, to create an interactive marketing experience.

I used Adobe InDesign to design a two-page spread for the 2024 issue of Coulture Magazine, a student-run fashion and lifestyle publication at UNC. Each student in my FashionMash class created their own layout for this article, and my design was selected for publication.

For my final project in my COMM 230 course, I worked with a partner to direct, produce, shoot, edit, and write the script for this 10 minute comedy/horror short film.
